About Guitarist Ed Munger
Experienced Guitar Instructor
Born in Albany, NY, Ed Munger started playing piano at age 5 and by 11 he was playing guitar. Ed studied Mel Bay’s Guitar Method, Volumes 1 – VII. A student of the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ed undertook a professional concentration on arrangement in musical composition.
A former Master’s instruction student under Jorge Morel in New York City, Ed later taught Classical Guitar as an adjunct faculty member at the College of St. Rose; Jazz Guitar at Union College and Blues Guitar at Empire College in Saratoga.
Ed has performed at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Proctors Theater, Schenectady; and Colonie Stardust Theatre, Albany, NY
Ed is director of Ed Munger Music Studios where he continues to teach guitar and voice to students at all levels, beginner to expert.
